Here is a poster of a dog that was once loved by America much more than they are loved now, a Pit Bull. It is a throwback to when our government and Americans used to think that these dogs symbolized Americans because of their loyalty, tenacity, courage, and strength. What comes to your mind when you think about these “pit bull” dogs? The term pit bull does not specifically identify any one breed. In fact, its a term that encompasses three breeds, officially, the breeds are the American Staffordshire Terrier, English Staffordshire Terrier, and American Pit Bull. I wanted to show the opposite of the stereotype that most Americans think of when they see or hear about pit bull dogs. In that, they are conveyed as vicious, dangerous, and violent. Any dog taught to be vicious will be. If pit bulls were little like Chihuahuas would we fear them like we do? Why do pit bulls get crucified? Why not stereotype other large breeds like Mastiffs, Dobermans, and Great Danes? All these dogs are big and can be dangerous if they are trained to be.     I put a you tube video of my friend in here just for fun. Check it out yall, its what keeps me going…….and going.

It makes it successful because it touches home because almost every American can relate to cowboys. It utilizes color theory, depth, atmospheric perspective and the viewer is engaged because the model is looking at us. It has a strong red color to show strength and a cowboy to show power. It shows the man as comfortable and relaxed doing normal tasks. Your eye is moved around by the hands, head and chest all

leading to the cigarette in a triangular pattern. I also put an Adbuster AD to show how an AD can make cigarette smoking look dumb too.

The term Digital Art has changed many times. The name has an evolution like the tools used at creating digital art. It has changed and now encompasses many aspects of media in our world today. It has many ways of intertwining with our lives because of the many different digital mediums from which we can be reached. From Television to Graphic T-Shirts the digital medium has influence in may areas of our modern world. It has the ability to transform and can fill almost every digital art project. Posters, My Space, T.V., Baseball Ball cap graphic and car emblems are just a few of the creations from Graphic Design. A person can create any idea you can visualize as long as you know how to use the programs correctly. Creativity is a big must when it comes to any art project and Graphic Design is no different. We live in an era where if you can use the tools and be creative you can create a wonderful project that can reach millions of viewers, sometimes instantly. Still, you can create art by making your own CD cover. The possibilities are endless when it comes to the digital world. Every graphic on television was envisioned by some artist at some point then created it. The skills of an artist can be drastically improved if one can master the techniques of graphic design. When it comes down to it, if you can get a project done faster more efficient and better then why not using the tools of digital art.

This was a challenging project. I did a couple of different ones but this one is the best. The project itself makes you think out side the box. Its challenging because it makes you look at the software in a different light. I used Open Office for this piece. It is a word processing program and I wanted to try to make a landscape out of the letters on the page. I used the letters with color and as a drawing tool.
